E-books
An e-book is a digital book that you can read on your computer, laptop, e-reader, tablet or smartphone, provided the right software is installed.
E-book; ePub
What is an ePub?
ePub is a file format that can be read on most e-readers, tablets and smartphones. If it is in ePub format, the text in the file is automatically adjusted to suit the screen size of the device on which you are reading the book. If it is in ePDF format, the page size is not automatically adjusted to suit the screen size. The Boom Basics series can be bought in ePub 3.0 format; all other publications are only available in ePDF format. E-books ordered via our website are protected by watermarks.
How can I order an e-book?
You can order an e-book just as easily and quickly as a physical book. After you have completed the order, we will send you a download link by e-mail. Via this link you can download the e-book. This link will be valid for 1 year.
Digital products cannot be cancelled or returned. When ordering a digital product, you waive your right of withdrawal.
Watermark Protection on e-books
1. Protected with a watermark
E-books ordered via our website are protected by watermarks. This electronic watermark contains your personal details, both visibly and hidden. In the case of misuse, the source of the illegal copy is easy to find. We always report abuse to the Stichting Brein (the Dutch association for the protection of artists’ rights). Eleven’s e-books are all protected with a watermark. You can read this e-book on multiple devices.
2. Security with Adobe DRM
E-books protected with Adobe DRM (Digital Rights Management) can only be read once you have created an Adobe account. You can read the e-book on up to six devices. For more information, please visit http://www.adobe.com/solutions/ebook/digital-editions.html.
Which e-readers support ePub?
Curently, all BeBooks, iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, Sony Readers, Kobo Readers, the Cool-er e-reader and the Cybook Opus support the ePub file format.
